Google uses artificial intelligence (AI) devices to help protect Chrome browser users from fraud.
According to a TechCrunch release on Thursday (8/5), the tech giant will start using Gemini Nano, a device-based large language model (LLM), on the desktop to combat online fraud in Chrome.
Google is also introducing AI-based warnings in Chrome on Android to help users recognize potentially spammy or misleading notifications.
According to Google, Chrome's Enhanced Protection mode in Safe Browsing offers a higher level of protection against phishing and other online threats than the browser's Standard Protection mode .
