Indonesian House of Representatives asks for Chinese PM's support to end war in Gaza





 The Speaker of the Indonesian House of Representatives Puan Maharani asked for support from Chinese Prime Minister Li Qiang to end the war in Gaza, Palestine.

"Asking for support from China, how the war in the Gaza region can end soon with a two- state solution," said Puan when giving a statement after meeting Prime Minister (PM) Li Qiang at the parliament complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Sunday.

In addition, Puan said that she and PM Li Qiang discussed efforts to open the blockade of humanitarian aid in the Gaza Strip.

Puan explained that this was one of the discussions between her and PM Li Qiang regarding the political and economic situation in the regional and global scope.

"In the meeting, we also discussed various issues related to bilateral cooperation between the two countries, such as politics, economics, social, culture, and of course including inter-parliamentary cooperation," he explained.

Before meeting with the Speaker of the Indonesian House of Representatives Puan Maharani, PM Li Qiang met with the President of the Republic of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto at the State Palace.

Prime Minister Li Qiang and President Prabowo witnessed the signing of four memorandums of understanding in the economic sector and cooperation in eight other sectors.
