Jamie Vardy still has ambitions to perform at the highest level.

Striker Jamie Vardy has stressed that he still has ambitions to perform at the highest level after announcing his departure from Premier League club Leicester City at the end of this season.

Quoted from Sky Sports, Thursday, Vardy emphasized that he has absolutely no doubts about performing at the highest level even though he is now 38 years old.

"Football is a crazy world. You never know what's going to happen. I'll keep playing until my legs tell me to stop. My legs are fine," Vardy said.

"I'm doing the sport I love, it's something I've done since I was a kid, hopefully that will continue," he added.

Vardy ends his 13-season journey with Leicester City and will play his final home game with The Foxes when they face Ipsiwch Town at the King Power Stadium, Leicester, Sunday (18/5).

In that match, Vardy has the chance to make 500 appearances and 200 goals for Leicester City, but if that doesn't happen, the English player will not be bothered.

"I would love to do it. I would love to do it. But if it doesn't happen, it doesn't happen," Vardy explained.

"You can talk to my family and they'll all say I have no emotion. Maybe it happens at the end of the game or whatever, but until that happens I'm really just focused on the game," he added.

"You don't get a chance to look back on it. It's about finishing the season with momentum to start the next one," he concluded.
