Lamine Yamal: Barcelona never feared Real Madrid

Barcelona's young striker Lamine Yamal stressed that his team has no fear of Real Madrid like most other teams do.

"We don't have the fear of them that maybe other teams have. So we played all out. We feel better than any team, and that's the mentality we brought to the pitch," the 17-year-old was quoted as saying by ESPN.

Yamal scored the second goal in Barcelona's dramatic 4-3 win over Madrid at the Olympic Stadium last weekend, moving Barcelona seven points clear of Madrid at the top of LaLiga with just three games remaining.

With this win, Barcelona have a perfect record against Real Madrid this season, winning twice in LaLiga and once each in the Spanish Super Cup and Copa del Rey finals. This is a reversal from last season, where they lost all of their El Clasico matches.

Barcelona coach Hansi Flick also praised Yamal's maturity in the high-pressure match. "Believe me, he's not a kid anymore," Flick said.
