Natasya Beteyob has not performed optimally in the 2025 Asian Weightlifting Championships

Indonesian lifter Natasya Beteyob has not been able to show her best performance in the women's 59kg class competition at the 2025 Asian Weightlifting Championships which took place in Jiangshan.

The 24-year-old athlete did not receive a ranking after failing to complete the snatch and only managed to record a result of 155kg in the clean and jerk session.

The result was far from the achievements of his competitors. The gold medal was won by North Korean representative, Kim Il Gyong, who recorded a total lift of 235kg (103kg snatch and 132kg clean and jerk).

The silver medal went to Suratwadee Yodsarn from Thailand with a total of 225kg (99kg snatch and 126kg clean and jerk), while the bronze was won by Taiwanese athlete, Hsing-Chun Kuo, with 220kg (95kg snatch and 125kg clean and jerk).

Natasya's achievement in Jiangshan was no better than the 2022 Asian Championships in Manama, Bahrain, when she won bronze with a total lift of 205kg (89kg snatch and 116kg clean and jerk).

Then in the 2024 edition in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, he again brought home bronze after recording 212kg (96kg snatch and 116kg clean and jerk).

Meanwhile, another Indonesian female lifter, Nadita Aprilia, who competed in the 64kg class, also achieved less than satisfactory results. Nadita was ranked sixth with a total lift of 200kg (85kg snatch and 115kg clean and jerk).

Her compatriot, Tsabitha Alfiah Ramadani, failed to complete the lift in both the snatch and clean and jerk sessions, thus not getting a ranking.
