Persib Bandung officially secured the 2024/2025 Liga 1 title after its closest rival, Persebaya Surabaya, failed to win over Persik Kediri in the 31st week match at Brawijaya Stadium, Kediri.
Persebaya's 3-3 draw means that their points tally can no longer catch up with Persib, even though there are still three matches left in the competition.
With the addition of one point, Persebaya now has 54 points from 31 matches, while Persib Bandung has collected 64 points from the same number of matches.
With a maximum of nine points remaining from three matches, Persebaya is certain to be unable to match or surpass Persib's points tally.
This success is the second championship title for Persib Bandung in the League 1 era, after last winning the trophy in the 2014 season. This season, the consistency of Maung Bandung's game is the main key in achieving league supremacy, under the direction of coach Bojan Hodak.
