Chelsea coach Enzo Maresca stressed that the 3-1 victory over Liverpool at Stamford Bridge in the 35th week of the Premier League was a very important victory.
"For sure, Chelsea have to fight for the Champions League and hopefully in the future we can fight for something more important," Maresca said after the match.
The win keeps Chelsea's chances of playing in the Champions League next season, by finishing in the top five. Currently, they are in fifth place with 63 points.
With three games remaining, the Blues could still drop to seventh, but on the other hand they could also finish in second place as they are only four points behind Arsenal.
