PT PLN Maluku and North Maluku Regional Main Unit through the Tobelo Customer Service Implementation Unit (UP3) continues to strengthen its role in supporting the development of the Morotai Island Special Economic Zone.
"One of the concrete steps currently being taken is probing activities for potential customers in the area, including PT Jababeka Morotai as the main manager of the Morotai Special Economic Zone," said General Manager of PLN UIW MMU, Awat Tuhuloula when contacted, Friday.
He said that this probing activity aims to comprehensively identify the need for electrical power, map the potential for future growth in electrical loads, and prepare a plan for developing an electrical system that is adaptive to investment dynamics in the KEK area.
Where, this process is an important part of PLN's strategy in ensuring the availability and reliability of electricity supply to support industrial and economic growth in Morotai.
