Senior footballer Stefano Lilipaly is optimistic that Indonesia will get three points when they host China in the third round of the 2026 World Cup Qualifiers in the Asian zone.
"We have to take three points against China, it's very important. We have to win, we are ready to perform optimally," said Stefano on the sidelines of the training camp at the Bali United Training Center, Gianyar Regency, Bali, Monday.
Apart from playing at home, the former Bali United player assessed that the Garuda squad is currently filled with many young local players who are expected to provide an advantage in the crucial match against the Dragon Team.
He added that the young Indonesian players also have careers in the top caste competition of domestic clubs, Liga 1 Indonesia, and some also play with international clubs, including in Europe.
"That's very good and my experience has been in Indonesia for a long time and also playing in Europe before, that's good for me and the other players," said the 35-year-old player.
