The Ministry of Youth and Sports held a cross-sector coordination meeting as a preparatory step for drafting a new Presidential Decree regarding youth service programs.
"This (new) Presidential Decree is important because we see that youth issues are cross-sectoral issues that cannot be implemented by the Ministry of Youth and Sports alone," said the Deputy for Youth Services at the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Yohan, to the media crew after the coordination meeting at the Ministry of Youth and Sports Office.
The meeting was led by Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports Taufik Hidayat and attended by Deputy Chief of Presidential Staff Muhammad Qodari and representatives from 58 ministries/institutions.
Yohan explained that the joint coordination meeting was to prepare for the drafting of the Presidential Decree on amendments to Presidential Decree Number 43 of 2022 concerning Cross-Sector Strategic Coordination of Youth Service Provision.
In the Presidential Decree that was formed, he said, there is an attachment related to the national action plan for youth services which is carried out through collaboration across ministries/institutions including regional governments and other stakeholders.
