"The so-called aid mechanism that was recently established is shameful, degrading, and humiliating to desperate people. It is a deadly trap that costs more lives than it saves," Lazzarini said at a press conference.

On another note, Lazzarini stated that "cash flow is managed on a weekly basis," noting that "without additional funding, I will soon be forced to make an unprecedented decision that will impact our services to Palestinian refugees."

Earlier on Tuesday, medical sources in the Gaza Strip announced that at least 50 Palestinians were killed in Israeli attacks while waiting for US-Israeli aid.

As of Monday, the number of Palestinian victims killed by Israel while attempting to reach food and aid distribution centers known as the "US-Israeli Mechanism" had reached 467 Palestinian martyrs, 3,602 wounded, and 39 still missing, according to data released by the Ministry of Health in Gaza and the Government Media Office.

Beyond the supervision of the United Nations and international relief organizations, Tel Aviv began implementing a plan on May 27 to distribute limited aid through the so-called "Gaza Humanitarian Foundation," which is supported by Israel and the United States but rejected by the United Nations.

Since October 7, 2023, Israel, with American support, has been committing genocide in Gaza, including killing, starvation, destruction, and displacement, ignoring international calls and orders from the International Court of Justice to halt it.

The genocide left more than 187,000 Palestinians dead or wounded, most of them children and women, and more than 11,000 missing. Hundreds of thousands were displaced, and famine claimed the lives of many, including children, as well as widespread destruction.
