Deputy Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs: Regional heads' duties cannot be separated from geopolitical matters

Deputy Coordinating Minister for Politics and Security Lodewijk Freidrich Paulus emphasized that the duties carried out by regional heads cannot be separated from national geopolitical and geostrategic affairs, so their policies must be in line with the center.

"This must be inline, so that the central policy flows perpendicularly, say from the district, city, province and also the president. Thus, the achievement can be synergistic," said Lodewijk on the sidelines of the second wave of regional head retreat activities at IPDN, Jatinangor, Sumedang, West Java, Tuesday.

He emphasized that this alignment is important to support the achievement of the economic growth target of eight percent.

In the acceleration section, he said, the Coordinating Ministry for Political, Legal and Security Affairs formed nine desks and one task force (Satgas), namely the Simultaneous Regional Election Coordination Desk, the Coordination Desk for Increasing State Foreign Exchange Revenue, the Coordination Desk for the Protection of Indonesian Migrant Workers, the Coordination Desk for Handling Forest and Land Fires, and the Coordination Desk for Eradicating Narcotics.
