Aceh Governor Muzakir Manaf has opened up opportunities for investors to manage the potential of natural resources, especially oil and gas (migas), on four islands that have just been confirmed as being included in the administrative area of Aceh Province.
"First, we will invite capital owners. They are allowed to explore our natural resources. Yes, we respect each other," said Muzakir after resolving the conflict over the four islands, at the Presidential Palace complex, Tuesday.
Regarding the possibility of the area becoming a new oil and gas block belonging to Aceh, Governor Muzakir answered firmly with his commitment to realizing this.
"Yes, yes, yes. It must be like that," he said.
Responding to the proposed management cooperation between Aceh and North Sumatra, Muzakir stated that his party was open to the option, as long as it provided optimal benefits for all parties.
