Central Java athlete Rerynta Alfreandasyahayu Agretsetyarahatika defeated East Java athlete Cinta Dwi Maharani in the final of the women's speed youth A (16-17 years) category at the 2025 National Rock Climbing Championships Age Group.
In the event organized by the Central Board of the Indonesian Rock Climbing Federation (PP FPTI), Rerynta won gold after recording the fastest time of 8.32 seconds to beat Cinta, who failed to finish the match due to slipping.
"This gold is my motivation to continue to record the best time in the future," he told ANTARA after receiving the medal at the Tangerang City Sport Climbing Center, Banten.
Rerynta did not feel burdened in this national championship because for her the most important thing was to maintain consistency and avoid slipping.
"The thing that needs to be fixed is increasing focus and being able to expend more energy in the future, so that we can continue to get the best results," he said.
