Representative from South Sumatra Andicha Pratama broke the dominance of the team from Java Island, in the speed youth A National Championship Rock Climbing Age Group XIX/2025, at the Tangerang City Sport Climbing Center, Banten.
In the event organized by the Central Board of the Indonesian Rock Climbing Federation (PP FPTI), Andicha managed to record a time of 6.629 seconds, to beat the representative from Central Java (Jateng) Aeifhel Tri Andika, who recorded 9.939 seconds in the final round.
"I just remember my parents who were tired of always taking me to practice, as well as the hard training, so that was my main strength to be able to win," said Andicha when interviewed by ANTARA, after receiving the medal.
He stated that the gold medal was very important to him, because it was proof that representatives from outside Java could compete in national level championships.
