Commander of the XVII/Cenderawasih Military Region, Major General Rudi Puruwito, visited the family of the late Sergeant Major Seger Mulyana, a member of the 1715/Yahukimo Military District Command who was shot dead by the KKB in Dekai.
Kapendam XVII Cendrawasih, Col. Inf. Candra Kurniawan, told ANTARA in Jayapura, Thursday, that the visit to the family of the late Serka Seger Mulyana was carried out as a form of moral support for the family of those who died in Dekai (16/6).
During the visit conducted on Thursday (19/6), the Commander of the XVII Cendrawasih Military Command and his entourage were received by the deceased's wife and five children at the funeral home located at the Hawai Koramil Dormitory, Sentani, Jayapura Regency.
The Commander of the XVII Cendrawasih Military Command, in the meeting, expressed his condolences to the bereaved family and stated that the rights of the deceased were still being taken care of by the XVII Cendrawasih Military Command and would later be handed over to the heirs, said the XVII Cendrawasih Military Command Chief of Staff, Colonel Inf Candra Kurniawan, quoting a statement by the Commander of the XVII Cendrawasih Military Command, Major General TNI Rudi Puruwito.
The late Sergeant First Class Seger Mulyana was shot by KKB on his way from Dekai Regional Hospital to the 1715/Yahukimo Military District Command Headquarters in Dekai.
The body of the deceased was buried at Sere Sentani TPU, Jayapura Regency, Tuesday (17/6) after previously being evacuated from Dekai.
The shooting was allegedly carried out by the KKB led by Elkius Kobak.
