Cristian Chivu wants Inter Milan to be sharper in front of goal

Inter Milan coach Cristian Chivu admitted that he was quite satisfied with his team's performance when they drew 1-1 against Monterrey in the 2025 Club World Cup Group E match at the Rose Bowl, Pasadena, Wednesday, but he wants his team to be sharper in front of goal.

Inter fell behind to Monterrey after veteran defender Sergio Ramos broke the deadlock. The Nerazzurri only managed to equalize in the second half thanks to Lautaro Martinez's goal.

"The first half was positive: despite going behind, we managed to trouble them with our movement and rotation. In the second half, we were a bit slow in moving the ball, but still created some chances. What we lacked was a sharp finish in front of goal," Chivu said, as quoted from Inter's official website.
