Deputy Minister of Communication and Digital Discusses Ai Governance with RDI






Deputy Minister of Communication and Digital of the Republic of Indonesia Nezar Patria met with AI Manager of the Dutch Authority for Digital Infrastructure (RDI), Huub Janssen to discuss AI governance in Indonesia.

"Indonesia is preparing the AI ​​National Strategy and Roadmap, and we learn from the EU AI Act's approach that emphasizes the balance between innovation and protection. We greatly appreciate the opportunity to further understand the best practices from the Netherlands," Nezar said in an official statement.

At the meeting held at the UNESCO Global Forum on the Ethics of AI, Nezar used it to hold extensive discussions on governance for the future of AI in Indonesia, particularly in the context of the EU AI Act, as well as exploring opportunities for bilateral collaboration in the areas of AI policy and cybersecurity.

Huub Janssen, who also serves as Chair of the Working Group of the Dutch and European Union AI Competent Authorities, explained that the EU AI Act uses a risk-based approach that divides AI systems into three main categories.
