Deputy Minister of Home Affairs Bima Arya Sugiarto asked regional heads to foster and take firm action against problematic community organizations in their respective regions so that they can make a positive contribution to society.
"Conduct coaching, mentoring, and motivation so that naughty mass organizations return to the right path," said Bima after leading the final assembly of the Regional Head and Deputy Regional Head Retreat at IPDN Jatinangor, Sumedang, Thursday.
However, he also emphasized that regional heads must take firm action against mass organizations that violate the law or disturb the community.
"Organizations that trouble residents, that make residents afraid, please take firm action," he said.
Bima added that regional heads can also provide recommendations for the dissolution of mass organizations that violate the law to the Ministry of Law and Human Rights.
