Indonesian Basketball League (IBL) club Hangtuah Jakarta announced its sponsorship partnership with investment platform Nanovest ahead of the playoffs.
This collaboration not only aims to strengthen Hangtuah Jakarta's preparation for the playoffs, but also encourage the progress of young Indonesian athletes and expand financial literacy among athletes.
"Just as stated in one of NanoWays' core values, namely excellence, we are committed to excelling and completing everything to completion, and #MakeitHappen. Therefore, this collaboration with Hangtuah Jakarta is expected to make both parties at the forefront," said Nanovest Chief Marketing Officer, Jovita Widjaja, at a press conference in Jakarta, Thursday.
Meanwhile, Managing Director of Hangtuah Jakarta, Musab Mochammad, welcomed Nanovest's support. He said that this sponsorship is an important part in igniting the club's spirit and bringing positive changes to national basketball.
Hangtuah Jakarta founder, Donny Donosepoetro, also asked basketball athletes to start thinking about their financial future after they are no longer athletes.
"You have to have savings, not just savings but you have to invest in mutual funds, gold, stocks, crypto and others. Moreover, our current sponsor is Nanovest, players have to download the application and use it, maybe the initial balance can be obtained from the club management," said Donny.
In the regular phase, Hangtuah is in seventh place in the final standings, and will face the team in second place in the standings. Currently, that position is still occupied by Dewa United, but the team from Tangerang still has the opportunity to rise to first place if they can win over the current first place team, Pelita Jaya
