Pelita Jaya Jakarta coach Justin Tatum said that the last match in the regular round of the 2025 Indonesian Basketball League (IBL) against Dewa United Banten, Saturday (21/6), is a momentum to test the characteristics of the players to face the playoffs .
He explained that the squad coached by Pablo Favarel was as strong as Satria Muda Pertamina Jakarta who had just been defeated on Thursday night, so it would have a positive impact on future development.
"The match against Dewa United is very important, because they are a solid team, ranked first in the standings, and have played well," said Tatum after Pelita Jaya defeated Satria Muda with a score of 77-72, at the Soemantri Brodjonegoro Student Sports Hall, Jakarta, Thursday night.
He explained that Pelita Jaya's last three matches, including against Prawira Bandung and Anak Dewa, are a test to see the characteristics of the players' game.
Because, the three teams have a capable squad to win the championship trophy this season.
"But that's what we want, to play against three strong teams because we want to see the type or character of the players' play, after being built collectively so far," said the father of NBA megastar Jason Tatum.
