Deputy Chairman of Commission VIII of the Indonesian House of Representatives, Abidin Fikri, said that the evaluation submitted by the Saudi Arabian government regarding the implementation of the Indonesian Hajj pilgrimage in 2025 is an important basis for improving services for pilgrims.
"This evaluation is an important part of improving the quality of services for Indonesian hajj pilgrims and ensuring that the hajj will run better in the future," Abidin said.
The people's representatives assessed that input from Saudi authorities, which are Indonesia's strategic partners, provided a clear picture of the various challenges in implementing the hajj. These include coordination of sharia services, compliance with visa regulations, and logistical and health aspects.
"This evaluation letter is also an important reminder for all of us, especially regarding adaptation to Saudi Arabia's new policies, such as restrictions on non-hajj visas and the transformation of the sharia-based service system," he said.
