IDAI advises parents to limit app permissions to protect children

 Chairman of the Central Board of the Indonesian Pediatrician Association (IDAI), Piprim Basarah Yanuarso, suggested that parents should be the first line of defense for protecting children in the digital era, by limiting application permissions on technological devices.

"Parents must be actively involved, checking, limiting application permissions, using parental control features ," said DR. Dr. Piprim Basarah Yanuarso, Sp.A, Subsp.Kardio(K), in a media seminar attended online.

According to him, in the digital era, it is impossible for children to be separated from technological devices, especially mobile phones. Although useful for positive things such as distance learning, these devices are also often the gateway to various problems related to this digital era.
