Iranian fighter Mohammad Heybati announces his return to Tehran to defend his homeland

Iranian mixed martial arts fighter Mohammad Heybati, known as the "Persian Dagestani," announced his decision to return to Iran to defend his country amid the recent escalation with Israel.

The Iranian fighter, who is currently based in Russia and also holds Russian citizenship, made the announcement in a post on his official social media account, expressing his anger over the recent Israeli airstrikes targeting sites in Iran, which resulted in the deaths of approximately 20 innocent children under the rubble.

"An hour ago, about 20 innocent children died under the rubble in our country! I ask everyone to open their eyes and take this matter seriously," Hebati said.

Heybati emphasized that he is not affiliated with any government or military entity, saying, "I have no connection with the Revolutionary Guard or any forces affiliated with the Iranian government. But Iran and its people are now in real danger."

He added: "We must all stand together to confront the enemy. We must protect our lives, our dignity, and our leaders. The goal of these devils is to divide and destroy Iran, not just to overthrow its government!!! We will stand together and defend our homeland. I know there are problems within the government that worry many, but today the lives of our people are at stake, and we must unite to confront the enemy."

The 35-year-old continued: "We are strong together! God willing, we will punish them all together. This will be our victory! I will return home to help the people! I will leave on the 28th of this month, Iran is strong, and Russia is strong."
