For his part, the head of the Iranian Red Crescent, Pir Hossein Kolivand, revealed in statements to state television that five hospitals in the country have been damaged since the start of the recent Israeli attacks.

In turn, the Israeli occupation army said on Friday that it is continuing to carry out airstrikes targeting what it described as "military infrastructure" in western and central Iran, adding in a brief statement: "Currently, our forces are launching raids against military infrastructure in western and central Iran."

In a separate statement, the Israeli military claimed it targeted the headquarters of Iran's internal security apparatus and its special units in the capital, Tehran, "based on accurate intelligence gathered in recent days."

As of 12:20 GMT, Iranian authorities have not issued an official comment on the Israeli allegations regarding the targeting of security headquarters in Tehran.

Earlier, Israeli Defense Minister Yisrael Katz instructed the military to intensify attacks against what he described as Iranian "regime targets" in Tehran, including "symbols of government" and vital facilities.

Katz said in a press statement that the goal of the attacks is to "destabilize the Iranian regime and strengthen deterrence against missile launches targeting the Israeli home front." He added that the directives also include "inflicting ongoing damage to Iran's nuclear infrastructure and the scientists and engineers behind its development."

Since June 13, Israel, with US support, has been waging an aggression against Iran, targeting nuclear facilities, missile bases, military leaders, and nuclear scientists. Tehran responded by launching ballistic missiles and drones toward Israeli territory, in the largest direct confrontation between the two sides.

According to the latest toll announced by Iran on Monday, the Israeli strikes killed 224 people and injured 1,277, most of them civilians. The Washington-based Human Rights Activists reported that the death toll had risen to approximately 639, with more than 1,329 injured, as of Thursday.

Meanwhile, the latest estimates, cited by Hebrew media outlets, including Channel 12, indicate that 25 Israelis have been killed. Tel Aviv announced that the number of wounded arriving at hospitals had risen to 2,517, including 21 in critical condition and 103 in moderate condition. However, observers say the losses are higher, given Tel Aviv's strict censorship of publications.
