Egyptian Senator Fayez Abu Harb issued a stern warning to Egyptian citizens regarding precise intelligence operations being conducted by Israel within the Sinai Peninsula.
In statements published by the Cairo 24 news website, Abu Harb confirmed that Israel is gathering accurate intelligence on every detail, even food and beverage prices, in the Sinai Peninsula.
The Egyptian MP called on every citizen to report to security forces any information or suspicious activity in Sinai.
MP Fayez Abu Harb, Secretary of the Arab Tribes and Egyptian Families Secretariat of the National Front Party and Deputy Chairman of the Housing, Local Administration, and Transportation Committee in the Senate, previously emphasized that the accelerating military escalation between Israel and Iran is deeply concerning, given the successive security developments in the region that threaten regional stability and further complicate the political landscape in the Middle East.
In his statements, Abu Harb said that the ongoing Israeli aggression in the region, particularly in the Gaza Strip, and the subsequent Iranian reactions, once again prove the validity of the Egyptian vision, which has long emphasized that true peace and stability cannot be achieved in the region without a just and comprehensive solution to the Palestinian issue.
He stressed that respecting state sovereignty, de-escalation, and a return to dialogue and diplomacy are the only ways to avoid slipping into bloody conflicts that only result in more casualties and division, while peace alone can build a secure and stable future for the peoples of the region.
The MP called on the international community, particularly the major powers, to shoulder their responsibilities in halting the current escalation and working diligently to defuse the crisis, thus preserving the security and safety of all Arab peoples.
He added, "We reiterate our commitment to our firm position that the Palestinian issue is the core of the conflict in the Middle East, and that the continuation of the Israeli occupation and its repressive practices against the Palestinian people threatens regional and international security as a whole."
Abu Harb stressed that achieving a just and comprehensive peace can only be achieved through implementing the two-state solution, establishing an independent Palestinian state on the June 4, 1967, borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital, in accordance with international references and Security Council resolutions.
He also called for an end to all forms of normalization with Israel that are not based on just foundations, calling for a reunification of the Arab position that places the nation's security and supreme interests at the forefront, and restores the Palestinian cause as the true compass for Arab national security.
He concluded his statement with a prayer, saying, "May God protect Egypt, its leadership, government, and people, and protect the Arab nation from the ravages of war and conflict, and restore the Middle East to its balance based on justice and mutual respect among peoples."
