The ministry said in a statement that the Israeli enemy's strike on an apartment in Nabatieh resulted, according to a preliminary toll, in the death of a female citizen and the injury of eleven others.
This morning, Israeli warplanes launched a series of raids targeting the outskirts of the town of Ali al-Taher and the heights of the towns of Kfar Tibnit and Nabatieh al-Fawqa in southern Lebanon, dropping concussion missiles that exploded with a tremendous roar.
Less than ten minutes later, Israeli aircraft renewed their violent raids on the same area, according to the official Lebanese National News Agency.
For its part, the Israeli occupation army announced on Friday that it had attacked a Hezbollah position in southern Lebanon, claiming that it had targeted it due to attempts to rebuild it.
"Israeli army fighter jets attacked a site used to manage Hezbollah's fire and protection systems in the Mount Shqif area in southern Lebanon," he said in a statement.
Meanwhile, Lebanese Prime Minister Nawaf Salam, in a statement published on the X platform on Friday, condemned the Israeli attacks on the southern Nabatieh Governorate, considering them a violation of national sovereignty and a threat to stability.
Salam said: "I strongly condemn the Israeli attacks around Nabatieh, which represent a blatant violation of national sovereignty and the cessation of hostilities arrangements reached last November between Israel and Hezbollah."
He considered the Israeli attacks a "threat to the stability we are keen to preserve."
To justify its breach of the ceasefire, the army claimed that the site was "part of an underground project that was taken out of service as a result of IDF raids in the area, and that the IDF had identified attempts to rebuild it."
On October 8, 2023, Israel launched an aggression against Lebanon, which escalated into a full-scale war on September 23, 2024, resulting in more than 4,000 deaths and approximately 17,000 injuries.
Since the ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hezbollah took effect on November 27, 2024, Israel has committed approximately 3,000 violations, leaving at least 223 dead and 509 wounded, according to official data.
In defiance of the agreement, the Israeli occupation army carried out a partial withdrawal from southern Lebanon, while continuing to occupy five hills it seized during the recent aggression.
