Indonesian tennis player Janice Tjen started the ITF W15 Maanshan with a strong performance to beat host China's Meiqi Guo 6-0, 6-4 on Wednesday.
In the match, Janice did not give a single game to Meiqi Guo in the first set. The 25-year-old Chinese tennis player had time to fight back in the second set but was unable to stem Janice's game, according to the match results quoted from the ITF website.
Next in the indoor hard court tournament, Jenice, who is the top seed, will face another Chinese tennis player, Jiangxue Han, who defeated South Korean qualifier Cho Sihyeong 6-2, 6(4)-7, 6-2.
