Lanny/Fadia advance to second round of 2025 Indonesia Open

Indonesian women's doubles pair Lanny Tria Mayasari/Siti Fadia Silva Ramadhanti opened their path to the elite level with a win over Malaysian pair Go Pei Kee/Teoh Mei Xing in the first round of the 2025 BWF World Tour Super 1000 Indonesia Open.

Playing at Istora Gelora Bung Karno, Jakarta, Wednesday, Lanny/Fadia won through a three-game match with a score of 19-21, 21-16, 21-19 in 69 minutes.

"We are still adapting to the field conditions that are not easy. The wind is strong and changing, so from the beginning there must be a lot of adjustments," Fadia told reporters after the match.

Lanny/Fadia lost the first game due to many unforced errors. However, they managed to recover in the second and third games thanks to increased focus and decision-making at crucial points.

"In the second game we were more confident because we won the wind, and in the third game we were more confident after the interval. We tried to be more reckless in the final points," said Fadia.

This victory is an important provision for Fadia who previously also appeared in the mixed doubles sector with Dejan Ferdinansyah. He said that changing sectors was not a problem because he already understood the responsibilities and roles in each number.
