Apple at the Worldwide Developers Conference 2025 in the United States introduced a new operating system for Mac products called macOS Tahoe 26, which is claimed to offer advanced capabilities to help users get many things done.
The newly designed operating system, which was introduced local time, according to the company, presents ongoing improvements to the Phone , Live Activities and Spotlight applications as well as expanding Apple Intelligence capabilities.
"MacOS is the heart and soul of the Mac, and with Tahoe we're building on what users love most," said Apple's Senior Vice President of Software Engineering Craig Federighi as quoted in Apple's press release.
He said that active users and users who are just starting to use Mac can enjoy more features to increase productivity with the new operating system.
The new design, according to the company, provides a better Mac experience than ever, including the use of Continuity and Spotlight , smarter shortcuts, and updates to Apple Intelligence.
