Malut United committed to using local coaches

Malut United management remains committed to using local coaches during the 2025-2026 season, as a form of appreciation to the nation's children to work together to build football.

"We are committed to using the services of local coaches together with Malut United in League 1 which will take place in August 2025," said Malut United Deputy Manager Asghar Saleh in Ternate, Tuesday.

A number of local coaches are starting to be touted as possible replacements for Imran Nahumarury and Technical Director Yeyen Tumena.

The names include Rahmad Darmawan, Indra Sjafrie, PSBS Biak Technical Director Emral Abus, and Jacksen F. Tiago.

According to Asghar, the candidate for Malut United coach will be known after the Training Center (TC) is held on July 27, 2025 in Yogyakarta.

Malut United will also include five local players who graduated from the Elite Pro Academy (EPA), including young player Taufik Rustam who is projected as a future pillar of this North Maluku club.
