Minister of Communication and Digital Meutya Hafid said the government is targeting that telecommunications device security testing can be fully carried out at domestic test centers by the end of 2026.
Meutya Hafid explained that currently Indonesia has 10 telecommunications equipment testing centers, including the Large Telecommunications Equipment Testing Center (BBPPT) in Tapos, Depok as the largest in Southeast Asia.
"In accordance with the President's spirit that we must stand on our own two feet, including in digital devices, then by the end of 2026, God willing, almost all testing of telecommunication devices can be done domestically," said Meutya when met at BBPPT Depok.
