Sources in Gaza hospitals reported that 29 people were killed by Israeli fire since dawn today, including 13 people waiting for aid.
The Palestinian Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip announced on Monday that the death toll from the Israeli war of extermination has risen to 55,998 martyrs and 131,559 wounded since October 7, 2023. The ministry said in a statement: "39 martyrs (including one who was recovered) and 317 wounded arrived at hospitals in the Gaza Strip in the past 24 hours."
"Seventeen aid martyrs (those waiting for humanitarian aid) arrived at hospitals over the past 24 hours," according to the ministry's statement, which added that with these victims, "the total number of livelihood martyrs who arrived at hospitals has risen to 467 martyrs and more than 3,602 injured," since May 27.
Israeli warplanes targeted inhabited homes, tents housing displaced persons, and civilian gatherings, resulting in deaths and injuries in cities in the northern, central, and southern Gaza Strip.
For its part, the Civil Defense in the Gaza Strip reported that the occupation army continues to refuse them entry into the "Golden Hall" area to retrieve the bodies of the martyrs, noting that they are awaiting a second request submitted through the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) to allow them to enter the area to retrieve the bodies of the martyrs.
The Civil Defense stated in a statement that last Wednesday, after several attempts by the OCHA office, and five days after the Israeli army committed a crime against dozens of young men waiting to receive aid, its crews were allowed to reach the area and retrieve the bodies of 15 martyrs, some of whom were in a state of decomposition.
He pointed out that, "To this moment, the occupation continues to refuse to allow our crews to re-enter the area to retrieve the remaining bodies of the martyrs, and refuses to approve other arrangements to rescue two missing women in separate areas."
Eleven martyrs and seven wounded arrived at Al-Shifa Medical Complex west of Gaza City, following several Israeli airstrikes in the city. Two of the martyrs were killed by Israeli army gunfire while waiting for aid in the Sudanese area west of Gaza.
In a related development, two Palestinians were killed and 35 others were injured in an Israeli airstrike targeting aid workers on Salah al-Din Street, south of the Gaza Valley area. Sixteen of the injured were seriously injured and were transferred to Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital, according to a statement issued by Al-Awda Hospital in the Nuseirat refugee camp.
Several Palestinians were injured in an Israeli airstrike targeting a house in the Deir al-Balah camp in the central Gaza Strip. Three Palestinians were killed and others wounded in an Israeli airstrike targeting tents for displaced persons in the Al-Mawasi area, west of Khan Yunis.
A Palestinian was also killed and 15 others waiting for aid were injured by Israeli occupation forces' fire south of Khan Yunis. Another Palestinian was killed by Israeli forces' fire near an aid distribution center west of Rafah, south of the Gaza Strip.
The number of Palestinians killed while attempting to reach food and aid distribution centers as of Saturday had reached 450, with 3,466 injured, while 39 remain missing, according to data released by the government media office in Gaza.
Beyond the supervision of the United Nations and international relief organizations, Tel Aviv began implementing a plan on May 27 to distribute limited aid through the so-called "Gaza Humanitarian Foundation," which is supported by Israel and the United States but rejected by the United Nations.
Since October 7, 2023, Israel, with full American support, has been committing genocide in Gaza, including killing, starvation, destruction, and displacement, ignoring international calls and orders from the International Court of Justice to halt it.
The genocide left more than 187,000 Palestinians dead or wounded, most of them children and women, and more than 11,000 missing. Hundreds of thousands were displaced, and famine claimed the lives of many, including children, as well as widespread destruction.
