Nine passengers injured after German plane makes emergency landing due to severe turbulence7

Weather conditions forced a Ryanair flight from Berlin to Milan, carrying 179 passengers and six crew members, to make an emergency landing at Memmingen Airport on Wednesday evening, police said in a statement.

She noted that nine passengers, ranging in age from two to 59, were injured in the turbulence, despite the plane landing safely.

The statement added that a woman suffered head injuries, her two-year-old infant sustained bruises, and a 59-year-old woman complained of back pain. All three are receiving treatment at the hospital, while the remaining injuries were treated on the scene.

The airline is organizing buses to continue the journey to its destination after the South Bavarian Aviation Authority refused to allow it to continue the journey.
