Persija Jakarta has officially brought in striker Eksel Timothy Joseph Runtukahu to strengthen the Macan Kemayoran attack line in the 2025/2026 Liga 1 season. The striker from North Sulawesi has been contracted for one year with an option to extend for one season.
"The hope and ambition to play in a team as big as Persija is certainly always there. When an offer and opportunity comes, you definitely want to take advantage of it," said Eksel as quoted from Persija's official statement, Wednesday.
"For the target, of course I want to give the best for Persija and Jakmania. Hopefully I can be a champion with Persija," he continued.
Eksel is no stranger to Persija. In the last two seasons, he often troubled Persija's back line while still wearing the Barito Putera uniform.
