Indonesian League 1 club Persis Solo has officially extended the contract of senior full-back Eky Taufik for one year or until 2026.
Quoted from the club's official website, Tuesday, Eky showed his pride and commitment to contribute to achieving better achievements with Persis Solo.
"Of course I feel happy and proud to still be trusted to be with the team for next season to remain in the Persis Solo squad," said Eky.
The 33-year-old player hopes that Persis Solo will be able to fight to achieve better results in next season's competition.
"My hope is, of course, that our achievements will be better than last season. Last season was a very difficult season. It was very draining on the mind, energy, and of course mental. I hope we can be competitive in the middle and top ranks of League 1 next season," explained Eky.
The former Bali United player expressed his gratitude and hopes that loyal Persis Solo supporters would support the team's struggle.
"I advise all elements of supporters to always support Persis Solo wherever they are, in any condition. Supporter support means a lot to us. It has been proven this season, without supporter support, we are unable to survive relegation," he concluded.
Eky Taufik joined Persis Solo in the 2020/21 season in the League 2 competition and the owner of the number 30 jersey is the player with the most appearances for the club to date with a total of 93 appearances and scoring four goals.
In the 2024/25 Indonesian League 1 season, Eky appeared 24 times with a record of one winning goal in week 29 against Barito Putera.
