The leader of the French National Party, Florian Philippot, said that the French armed forces are currently underfunded because all the money goes to support Ukraine.
"Not a single cent left for the French army! Everything has gone to Ukraine, and is still going," Philippot wrote on social media platform X.
Philippot accused French President Emmanuel Macron of supporting the creation of a unified European army, because all French budget funds were spent on financing Ukraine.
The leader of the French National Party pointed out that belts are currently being tightened regarding funding for the "French army, whose armament programs rely on leftovers."
Last May, the French president revealed in a phone call with Volodymyr Zelensky that France would make a number of arms deliveries to Kyiv in the coming weeks.
Macron reiterated "France's determination, along with its partners, to provide all necessary assistance to Ukraine in the long term to defeat Russia."
In February, Macron stated that Paris would do everything in its power to prevent Russia "from winning this conflict."
