Polda Metro Jaya arrested the suspected perpetrator of the assault and sexual assault experienced by Bahar bin Smith's younger sibling in the Pamulang area, South Tangerang, on Monday (16/6).
"The Metro Jaya Police have succeeded in securing two perpetrators with the initials YLK and EKK," said the Head of Public Relations of the Metro Jaya Police, Senior Commissioner Ade Ary Syam Indradi in Jakarta, Tuesday.
The arrest was carried out by a joint team from the Criminal Research Unit (Satreskrim) of the South Tangerang Police and the Mobile Research Sub-Directorate (Subdit Resmob) of the General Criminal Research Directorate (Ditreskrimum) of the Metro Jaya Police.
Both were arrested in two different locations. YLK was arrested on Monday (16/6) at 19.00 WIB on Jalan Panti Asuhan, Cipinang Cimpedak, Jatinegara, East Jakarta.
"Meanwhile, the suspect with the initials EKK was arrested on the same day at 03.00 WIB on Jalan Arjuna, Benda Baru, Pamulang District, South Tangerang City," he said.
