The West Jakarta City Government is utilizing 2.3 hectares of land in North Meruya, Kembangan, for sports facilities and a Betawi culinary center (food court).
The utilization began on Tuesday with the regulation of buildings without a Building Permit (IMB).
"This clean-up is related to fencing without a building permit on land belonging to the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government. We dismantled the iron fence and its foundations and buildings," said West Jakarta City Secretary, Firmanudin Ibrahim when confirmed in Jakarta, Tuesday.
The cleanup was carried out by removing the iron fence and building foundations. "We deployed heavy equipment from the West Jakarta Water Resources (SDA) and Environment (LH) Sub-dept.," he said.
After tidying up the iron fence and foundation, they will re-install the fencing.
