Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto has given the name "Paraphalante Dora Sigar Soemitro" to the orchid flower, which is a symbol of personal closeness as well as a form of diplomatic appreciation in Singaporean tradition.
The Presidential Secretariat in Jakarta, Monday, informed that the special moment colored President Prabowo Subianto's state visit to Parliament House, Singapore, today.
"I am honored by the special orchid naming ceremony. I think this is the highest form of respect," said the Head of State in his welcoming speech at Parliament House, Singapore.
The name of the orchid was chosen directly by President Prabowo as a form of respect for his beloved late mother, Dora Sigar Soemitro.
