Psychosocial services are needed by residents affected by fires, including those in Kapuk Muara Village, Penjaringan District, North Jakarta, to ease their psychological burden.
Head of the Social Protection and Security Division of the DKI Jakarta Social Service, Ika Yuli Rahayu, said that the Psychosocial Support Service (LDP) plays a role in maintaining the emotional stability of affected residents.
"This Psychosocial Support Service is useful for helping victims, especially children and vulnerable groups, to manage their emotions after a disaster," he said in a written statement in Jakarta, Wednesday.
Ika said psychosocial services are part of a holistic approach that not only focuses on physical assistance, but also on mental and social recovery.
