Snacks are not only about being delicious, but they must also be nutritious.

Nutritionist Dr. dr. Lucy Widasari, M.Si advised parents not only to judge the taste when serving snacks, but also the snacks must be nutritious.

"Parents are advised to serve healthy snacks such as freshly cut fruit, boiled corn, steamed sweet potatoes, tempeh balls, milk pudding without added sugar, or mini vegetable omelets," said the doctor who graduated from Hasanuddin University, when contacted.

The snacks mentioned above, Lucy said, tend to be more easily accepted by children, but still contain fiber, vitamins, and minerals that are important for optimal growth and development. These contents are much more beneficial than snacks high in sugar, salt, and artificial colors that are risky for health.
