West Jakarta Mayor Uus Kuswanto said that the program to procure one light fire extinguisher for one RT has begun in his area.
Uus explained that the program from Governor Pramono Anung had started in North Sukabumi Village, Kebon Jeruk District, West Jakarta, on May 9, 2025.
"On May 9 2025, the Governor symbolically handed over APAR to nine RTs in RW 01 Sukabumi Utara Subdistrict. That was the beginning," said Uus when contacted.
Uus said that the West Jakarta regional apparatus is ready to support the sustainability of the program. "As for the sustainability, it depends on the Gulkarmat Sub-dept," he said.
"We are ready in the region. Yesterday, the Governor also said that it was in the Governor's Instruction (Ingub) Number 5 of 2025 concerning the Community Movement to Have APAR. So in the region we are ready, the 'leading sector' is Gulkarmat," he said.
