The Israeli occupation forces arrested 27 Palestinians, including a journalist, in the West Bank. Egypt condemns settler attacks.

According to the Hamas Prisoners' Information Office, the arrests were concentrated in the governorates of Nablus, Qalqilya, Salfit, and Jenin, located in the northern West Bank.

In Nablus, Israeli occupation forces arrested freed prisoner Musab Qatawi at the Deir Sharaf checkpoint north of the city. They also arrested journalist Mujahid Bani Muflih from the town of Beita, south of Nablus, as well as a number of citizens from the villages of Zawata, west of the city, and Tal, southwest of it.

The arrest campaign included 18 Palestinians from the villages of Madama, Asira al-Qibliya, and Urif, south of Nablus. Israeli forces raided dozens of homes and arrested several young men.

In Salfit Governorate, occupation forces arrested a former prisoner named Adham Ismail Saber after raiding their homes in the town of al-Zawiya, west of the city. In Qalqilya, a young man from the town of Azzun, east of the governorate, was arrested, while two Palestinians were arrested in the city of Jenin.

In a related development, Israeli settlers set up tents on lands in the village of Asira al-Qibliya, south of Nablus, on the eastern side of Area B. Hafez Saleh, head of the Asira al-Qibliya village council, told the Palestinian news agency WAFA that the settlers raised racist signs associated with the "price tag" gangs, including one reading in Arabic, "No future in Palestine."

In the same context, the Al-Baidar Organization for the Defense of Bedouin Rights reported that a group of settlers attacked the Arab al-Ka'abneh community near the Carmelo Junction, southeast of Ramallah. The settlers set fire to a car amidst cries for help from residents, forcing some to temporarily leave the area for fear of escalating violence.

Earlier, three Palestinians were killed and seven others injured in attacks by dozens of Israeli settlers on the town of Kafr Malik in Ramallah, in the central West Bank, according to a statement from the Palestinian Ministry of Health.

In response, the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned the attacks carried out by Israeli settlers against Palestinians in the West Bank, describing them as a "flagrant violation of international law and efforts aimed at achieving security and stability." It called for "the international community to take action to put an end to these flagrant violations and address the injustice being inflicted on the Palestinian people."

It also called for "activating accountability and providing protection to the Palestinian people," reiterating its full support for achieving the aspirations of the Palestinian people to establish their independent state on the 1967 borders.

In parallel with the genocide in the Gaza Strip, the Israeli occupation army and settlers escalated their attacks in the West Bank, including East Jerusalem, resulting in the deaths of at least 986 Palestinians, the injury of nearly 7,000 others, and the arrest of more than 17,500, according to Palestinian data.

Since October 7, 2023, Israel has been waging a genocidal war in Gaza, leaving approximately 189,000 Palestinians dead or wounded, most of them children and women, and more than 11,000 missing. Hundreds of thousands have been displaced, and famine has claimed the lives of many, including children.
