Chairman of the President's Cup Steering Committee Maruarar Sirait confirmed that the Si Jalak Harupa Stadium in Bandung Regency, West Java, will be the main location for the 2025 President's Cup pre-season tournament.
"Very feasible. The lights are good, the grass is good. Earlier I asked the Regional Police Chief for consideration (regarding) security," said Maruarar in Bandung, Wednesday.
Before going to Si Jalak Harupat Stadium, Maruarar had time to review the Gelora Bandung Lautan Api Stadium in Bandung City. However, the damaged condition of the field made him switch his choice to Si Jalak Harupat.
Bandung Lautan Api Stadium, he said, "is not yet possible. I checked the grass earlier, it still needs time. If it has grown, it will be very good. The lights are also very good."
He added that Si Jalak Harupat Stadium has international standard facilities, considering that it was once one of the venues for the U-17 World Cup in 2023.
"If I'm not mistaken, the President's Cup was also held here. This is a FIFA-standard stadium," he said.
