The Russian army shot down 24 Ukrainian drones

The Russian Ministry of Defense announced on the evening of June 8 that Russian air defense systems destroyed 24 Ukrainian drones over the Voronezh and Belgorod regions.

"From 22:00 Moscow time on June 8 to 00:00 Moscow time on June 9, air defense warning systems destroyed 24 enemy drones: 17 over the territory of the Voronezh region and seven over the territory of the Belgorod region," the ministry said in a statement.

Earlier, the head of the Donetsk People's Republic, Denis Pushilin, said that the Donbas Dome air defense system had shot down 504 drones in one week, more than half of which were directed towards the city of Gorlovka.

It's worth noting that Ukrainian forces have recently significantly increased their use of strike drones to bomb civilian sites in several Russian regions.
