Indonesian representatives are listed as not appearing in the 2025 BWF World Tour Super 750 Japan Open badminton tournament at the Tokyo Metropolitan Gymnasium, Japan, on July 15–20.
Based on the latest data from the official website of the Badminton World Federation (BWF), Wednesday, the three representatives of the Red and White are the women's doubles Apriyani Rahayu/Febi Setianingrum and Rachel Allessya Rose/Meilysa Trias Puspitasari, and the mixed doubles Adnan Maulana/Indah Cahya Sari Jamil.
Until this news was published, there had been no official statement from the Indonesian Badminton Association (PBSI) regarding the absence of the three pairs from the tournament with a total prize of 950 thousand US dollars (around Rp. 15.4 billion).
Meanwhile, based on the latest data from the BWF website, Indonesia still has 13 representatives registered to appear in the tournament from five sectors.
The men's singles include Jonatan Christie, Alwi Farhan, and Anthony Sinisuka Ginting who will make a comeback after being absent from a number of international tournaments due to a shoulder injury.
