Using the "Ghoul" rifle, the Qassam Brigades announces the sniping of an Israeli soldier east of Khan Yunis.

The Brigades said in a statement via Telegram that "Qassam fighters sniped an Israeli soldier with a Qassam Ghoul rifle in the Al-Sanati area, east of the town of Abasan al-Kabira, east of Khan Yunis."

The Brigades added that its fighters "spotted an Israeli helicopter landing for evacuation," without providing further details.

In 2014, Qassam Brigades released a video for the first time about a new sniper rifle, locally manufactured in the Gaza Strip, called the "Ghoul."

Al-Qassam named the rifle after Adnan al-Ghoul, one of the leaders of its manufacturing unit, who was assassinated by Israel on October 22, 2004, in Gaza City.

The Israeli military's death toll has reached 866, in addition to 5,937 wounded, since the beginning of the genocidal war on the Gaza Strip on October 7, 2023, according to data from the Israeli occupation army on its official website.

Since October 7, 2023, Israel, with American support, has been committing genocide in Gaza, including killing, starvation, destruction, and displacement, ignoring international calls and orders from the International Court of Justice to halt it.

The genocide left approximately 182,000 Palestinians dead or wounded, most of them children and women, and more than 11,000 missing. Hundreds of thousands were displaced, and famine claimed the lives of many, including children, as well as widespread destruction.
