Yedioth Ahronoth reported that air raid sirens sounded in northern Israel, warning of a new Iranian drone attack.
The newspaper noted that Air Force aircraft quickly flew in to intercept the drone attack.
The Iranian army launched a massive missile attack at dawn on Monday, targeting all areas of Israel.
Video footage showed two rockets landing near major power generators in Haifa. Rockets also landed in areas of Tel Aviv, causing extensive destruction and the collapse of buildings. Hebrew media reported a large number of casualties in Tel Aviv and the Carmel region.
The Israeli military censorship has prohibited the publication of any information or footage of the Iranian bombing, amid reports that sensitive sites across large areas of Israel have been targeted.
The Israeli ambulance service said its crews are working at several sites hit by Iranian missiles. Three people have been killed and 48 others injured so far, three of them seriously, and the number is expected to rise.
