14,733 drivers were ticketed during the week of Operation Patuh Candi 2025

 Police issued tickets to 14,733 traffic violators in various regions in Central Java during the first week of Operation Patuh Candi 2025.
Head of Public Relations of the Central Java Regional Police, Senior Commissioner Pol. Artanto, in Semarang on Sunday, said that of the number of serious violations, 13,245 drivers were given manual tickets.
"1,488 violations were caught through electronic tickets," he said.
Officers, he continued, also issued warnings to 12,580 drivers who committed minor violations.
He said that motorcyclists dominated the violations issued tickets.
In addition, he continued, the violations were also dominated by drivers aged between 16 and 35 years.
"The most common violations were not wearing helmets while driving, using noisy exhausts, and violating traffic lights," he said.
In addition, he continued, there were 994 drivers who were still underage who were given tickets.
He said the majority of violators were still of productive age, which was a particular concern.
According to him, education on traffic discipline will continue to be carried out by the police and other relevant stakeholders.
"There needs to be a continuing approach to fostering a culture of disciplined traffic among young offenders," he said.
